Weekly Accountability Check-In

Action Steps:

See a reminder to check in on the MVP Group every Monday

What's the number one reason people hire a trainer? If you guessed "accountability," you are correct. It is, by far, the number one reason people hire me. We need someone to show up for and be accountable to because, on our own, we let ourselves off the hook too easily.

But there's a misconception. You don't have to show up in person to be accountable to someone. Accountability can come in the form of any communication.

Even if I'm not directly communicating with you all of the time, I'm monitoring what I can to see if you're on track with your fitness goals. Relax, I don't have you under surveillance, so don't worry about me scanning your social media pages. One example is if you use the TrainHeroic app, I can see who is working out, what was done in the workout, when you last logged in, and more.

I'm looking for patterns I notice from years of coaching people. You can bet I keep a very sexy spreadsheet tracking this. However, I try not to bother anyone unless I feel they need it, but anytime you need a push (or a light shove) in the right direction, you should be the one to reach out rather than waiting for someone to intervene.

One solution that will help us keep each other on track is a weekly accountability check-in.

Every Monday, I'll request that you check in on this group by responding to a post with a few questions. This way, we can share our wins, encourage each other, and give and receive help when needed.

Monday, expect to see a post in this group like the one below. I suggest you put it in your calendar or to-do list, reminding you to check in every Monday.
