I’ve designed and built both commercial and home gyms and have worked and trained in a dozens of different types of gyms. I’m almost as passionate about gym design as I am about the training itself.

The gym design sets the tone for my workouts and the equipment provides me the tools to achieve what I want. You don’t need much to be successful, but having access to a great gym makes it that much more fun and easier to reach your goals.

This is a guide for fitness enthusiasts looking to build a functional home gym for achieving an optimal level of fitness. It also allows you to avoid paying membership fees and crowded, public gyms.

Our guide is ideal for those who are devoted to look, feel, and perform their best. If you are only interested in general fitness, it will work for you too and maybe you’ll become an enthusiast in the process.

Whether you are working out 2 days a week or more, this is for people who are looking to work hard and train proper. If cardio or bodyweight is your only focus, this will be overkill. Again, this is for anyone looking to train smart and get optimal results.

By the time you complete all of these steps, your gym will be one to envy and likely your body will too.
