Everyone I coach who keeps a food log is far more likely to get results by improving their nutrition. One reason for explaining these results is a study done by the USDA. Their study shows people’s perception of food intake versus the reality of what they consume is very different. This was true across all ages and genders. You may think you know what you consume, but day to day, week to week, you could be missing a detail that can make all of the difference.
Don’t worry about the details of calories or macronutrients, just write down what you eat and drink or make a note in your phone. Another method is to take photos of everything you eat and drink. At the end of the day, write everything down in your food log.
Once you’ve recorded a week’s worth of data, we can review it and match it up to your goals.
