#45 – 6 exercises you should know
”Something shifted that would transform my life forever. I felt strong for the first time.”
I’d been trying to get fit for years. Hiring personal trainers, doing bodybuilding splits, nothing but abs and arms, group classes, and high-intensity workouts. I’d start, see some results for a few months up to a year at most, then drop out. The pattern repeated itself for decades. Then I hit a turning point. Somewhere in the back of a fitness book, buried behind hundreds of exercises, was the most important section. Programs written by strength and conditioning coaches. The kind who worked with athletes of all types.
So I started following these coaches and their programs. That’s when something shifted that would transform my life forever. I felt strong for the first time. Not just looking like I worked out. Actually strong. I was moving my body the way it was designed to move. I was into it. That fascination turned into thousands of hours of coursework, more books than I can count, and a 15-year coaching career built around one core idea: the way athletes train works for everyone.
The six exercises I share this week aren’t random. They’re the foundation of an athletic body.
